INHOUSE was set up in 2000 by Mary Dobson, who has been working in the industry since 1994.

We offer a discreet, bespoke service for discerning employers within private households and prestigious private establishments. We specialise in the very highest calibre of domestic staff on a full time, part time or on a temporary basis both in the UK and Internationally.

We can assist with all staffing needs, however large or small. We have successfully supplied candidates to professional city-dwelling families, working country estates, stately homes, holiday villas and ocean going yachts.

How We Work

We offer a quality service to both clients and staff and will not waste your time by sending unsuitable applicants nor waste the applicant’s time by sending them for unsuitable posts.

After establishing your requirements we provide you with a selection of suitable candidates from our extensive database. For each candidate we endeavor to produce résumé outlining a candidate’s details and include a photograph. Once you have chosen the right candidates we will arrange the interviews on your behalf.

Safeguards

All our applicants have gone through our rigorous process of personal interview, reference and previous employment history verification. They must have at least two years experience and / or relevant professional qualifications. We ensure that all applicants have legal rights to work in the UK.

All written references are personally verbally endorsed before any candidate would be considered for any suitable vacancy.

About the Family

An ultra-high-net-worth family based in Istanbul is seeking an experienced, professional nanny for their toddler son (17 months old). The father is American, and the mother is Turkish and fluent in English. Both parents are actively involved in their child’s care — the mother is a full-time stay-at-home parent, and the father works from home. You will work directly with the mother — no assistants or intermediaries.

 

Position Summary

The family is looking for an exceptionally experienced, English-speaking nanny with a strong educational background. The ideal candidate will focus entirely on the child’s development and daily engagement — no household duties are expected. This is a long-term role for someone who is passionate about early childhood education and open to frequent international travel.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide full-time, developmentally focused care for a 17-month-old boy
  • Lead daily educational and age-appropriate activities (structured play, outdoor time, arts and crafts, early learning routines)
  • Plan engaging and stimulating routines tailored to support cognitive, social, and emotional development
  • Travel with the family (~4 months/year), including internationally
  • Support a respectful and collaborative environment with parents, who are often present

 

Candidate Requirements

  • Fluent/native-level English speaker
  • At least 30 years of childcare experience, including experience with at least two ultra/high-net-worth families
  • Background in early childhood education (e.g., former preschool teacher strongly preferred)

  • Willing to live in Istanbul long-term

  • Familiarity with managing severe allergies (child is allergic to all nuts, cow’s milk, and eggs)

 

Schedule & Compensation

  • Preferred schedule: 8am–8pm, 6 days/week (72 hours/week)
  • Alternative schedule: 40 hours/week acceptable for the right candidate
  • Rate: $40/hour (approx. £30 GBP / €35 EUR)

Live in Housekeeper – Holland Park

My clients are seeking a residential housekeeper to care for their property in Holland Park.

The couple travel for a substantial amount of time during the year.

8 a.m. start where she would prepare light breakfast. If the principal is at home for lunch they usually eat a salad or something light, in the evening they  like a Mediterranean style meal.

This is a substantial property covering five floors.

The housekeeper would be required to keep the home clean and tidy at all times and to a high standard, another lady is employed to do the laundry and help with the housekeeping.

There is also a man who does the garden and general maintenance of the property, he also assists in walking the five small dogs to Holland Park which is once a day, the housekeeper would be required to assist on occasion.

Accommodation consists of an annexe with separate entrance, bedroom, bathroom and kitchen.

Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5p.m. and Saturday morning. If the client is dining at home the finish time would be later.

Excellent opportunity for the right person.

Daily Housekeeper – Knightsbridge London

A live out housekeeper is required for a delightful couple based in Knightsbridge.

A four storey mews house, which has four bedrooms and four bathrooms, drawing room, dining room, large kitchen with dining areas.

Ideally would prefer a driver as the couple have a home in the country and like to go there every three weeks and would need to be driven, they would accept a non driver for the right person.

Main duties would be general cleaning of the property, preparing breakfast, which is usually quite simple, clearing and cleaning the kitchen after use.

There are plenty of shopping facilities nearby.

A nice health varied cuisine is required, dinner is usually served early at 6.30.

Polishing and vacuming the home which covers four floors, and cleaning bathrooms. Polishing and cleaning silver.  Doing the laundry including sheets (not all bedrooms are used unless their are guests), washing and ironing of clothes.

The couple are elderly but active and do not require any medical help.  They are seeking someone to maintain their property to a high standard.

Five day week, they like to go to their country home in Hampshire every third week for four days to which you would be required to accompany them.

My client is currently looking for a butler. based in Kensington.

To start end of August beginning of September.

This is rota role, so the candidate would be required to work one week on and one week off.

Shifts are 10-12 hours.  Food is included.

Some travel usually Gstaad during which time you  get per diems.

This is a large property and is a fully staffed household, currently around 20 staff are employed.
