INHOUSE was set up in 2000 by Mary Dobson, who has been working in the industry since 1994.

We offer a discreet, bespoke service for discerning employers within private households and prestigious private establishments. We specialise in the very highest calibre of domestic staff on a full time, part time or on a temporary basis both in the UK and Internationally.

We can assist with all staffing needs, however large or small. We have successfully supplied candidates to professional city-dwelling families, working country estates, stately homes, holiday villas and ocean going yachts.

How We Work

We offer a quality service to both clients and staff and will not waste your time by sending unsuitable applicants nor waste the applicant’s time by sending them for unsuitable posts.

After establishing your requirements we provide you with a selection of suitable candidates from our extensive database. For each candidate we endeavor to produce résumé outlining a candidate’s details and include a photograph. Once you have chosen the right candidates we will arrange the interviews on your behalf.

Safeguards

All our applicants have gone through our rigorous process of personal interview, reference and previous employment history verification. They must have at least two years experience and / or relevant professional qualifications. We ensure that all applicants have legal rights to work in the UK.

Live in Housekeeper – Knightsbridge London

A live in housekeeper is required for a delightful couple based in Knightsbridge.

A four storey mews house, which has four bedrooms and four bathrooms, drawing room, dining room, large kitchen with dining areas.

Ideally would prefer a driver as the couple have a home in the country and like to go there every three weeks and would need to be driven, they would accept a non driver for the right person.

Main duties would be general cleaning of the property, preparing breakfast, which is usually quite simple, clearing and cleaning the kitchen after use.

There are plenty of shopping facilities nearby.

A nice health varied cuisine is required, dinner is usually served early at 6.30.

Polishing and vacuming the home which covers four floors, and cleaning bathrooms. Polishing and cleaning silver.  Doing the laundry including sheets (not all bedrooms are used unless their are guests), washing and ironing of clothes.

The couple are elderly but active and do not require any medical help.  They are seeking someone to maintain their property to a high standard.

Five day week, they like to go to their country home in Hampshire every third week for four days to which you would be required to accompany them.

To start within a month.

BUTLER

My client is currently looking for a butler. based in Kensington.

To start end of August beginning of September.

This is rota role, so the candidate would be required to work one week on and one week off.

Shifts are 10-12 hours.  Food is included.

Some travel usually Gstaad during which time you  get per diems.

This is a large property and is a fully staffed household, currently around 20 staff are employed.

Would suit either a male or female candidate. Must be fit,  heatlhy,  active.

Start end August, early September.

Daily Housekeeper

The Housekeeper will provide a high level of housekeeping services to the Client. The ideal candidate must have proven previous experience working in a similar role.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Housekeeper

  • Cleaning house daily

Chauffeur

One of our clients drivers will be leaving  in March and we’re keen to find a replacement ASAP.  They are currently seeking a suitable candidate to join the current team (three chauffeurs are employed full time).  They need someone to fit in with the other two drivers. Based Central London

  • Permanent position (salaried)
  • Part of team of 3 drivers, replacing one of the three leaving
  • Start date March 2024 (or preferably sooner)

  • Flexible and accepting that last minute changes may be required to respond to the needs of the Principal and family
  • Weekend work is a non-negotiable. There is an increasing demand for weekend work given the Principal and family’s busy lives. There is a desire to have two drivers working every second weekend so we’re keen to find someone who is comfortable with weekend work and time off during the week instead. We’re also open to someone who would work every weekend, plus a few days in the week if such a suitable candidate existed
  • Other shifts are either full days or split between a morning or an afternoon/evening shift
  • Priority is driving the Principal and his son during the week – school, work, appointments and evening engagements. The rest of the day is running errands for the office and households, as required. At weekends, driving the Principal and wider family
  • Typically 5 days’ work and 2 days rest per week
  • Requirement to drive several different cars (including sports cars and left-hand drives), a Sprinter minibus and a motorcycle
  • Physically fit as some errands require lifting plus dog walking during the day if on shift

Housekeeper/Cook live in

A live in cook/housekeeper is required to work for a couple based in Hampstead. Five day week.

Can be Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Sunday. Start time 8 a.m. a break during the day,    This is a five bedroom house all with ensuite bathrooms, over three floors.

Duties include keeping the house clean, carrying out all laundry, walking a small dog on the Hampstead Heath, the family are based next to the Heath.  Preparing breakfast which is usually just fruit and coffee/tea. Cooking a healthy dinner for the couple. The lady of the house works a few days in the week and leaves early so you would not be expected to prepare breakfast on those days.

The current housekeeper has been with them for some years but now wishes to live out, the require start date would be around Easter.

Own room and ensuite bathroom provided.

 

£600 net per week (negotiable)
