About Us

INHOUSE was set up in 2000 by director, Mary Dobson, who has been working in the industry since 1994.

We offer a discreet, bespoke service for discerning employers within private households and prestigious private establishments. We specialise in the very highest calibre of domestic staff on a full time, part time or on a temporary basis both in the UK and Internationally.

We can assist with all staffing needs, however large or small. We have successfully supplied candidates to professional city-dwelling families, working country estates, stately homes, holiday villas and ocean going yachts.

How We Work

We offer a quality service to both clients and staff and will not waste your time by sending unsuitable applicants nor waste the applicant’s time by sending them for unsuitable posts.

After establishing your requirements we provide you with a selection of suitable candidates from our extensive database. For each candidate we endeavor to produce résumé outlining a candidate’s details and include a photograph. Once you have chosen the right candidates we will arrange the interviews on your behalf.

Safeguards

All our applicants have gone through our rigorous process of personal interview, reference and previous employment history verification. They must have at least two years experience and / or relevant professional qualifications. We ensure that all applicants have legal rights to work in the UK.

All written references are personally verbally endorsed before any candidate would be considered for any suitable vacancy.

We pride ourselves on attention to detail and being fully up to date with all aspects of domestic service employment issues.

It is our policy to follow up on our candidate’s progress and we are always available to discuss any issues, should the need arise. We offer a guarantee period during which we offer replacement staff as detailed in our Terms of Business.

Daily Housekeeper

An exceptionally experienced housekeeper required to work in this recently renovated beautiful home based in Regents Park.  The applicant must have knowledge of antiques and beautiful furnishings.  The house covers five floors, but only two floors are used daily.

The principal of the house is a delightful lady, and seeks a calm positive daily housekeeper who would be treated as one of the family.

This is a five day week from 9a.m. to 5 p.m.

Housekeeper/Stewardess

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a housekeeper/stewardess to work for a very successful young entrepreneur both in London and overseas.

The role will suit someone who has experience working in a private household and also on a super yacht.

As a housekeeper you will work for six months at the principals five bedroom north London home, you will work for three months of the year at the principals holiday home in Austria.

As a stewardess you will work for three months of the summer aboard the principals 45m luxury super yacht.

Experience working as a h/k or similar in a private household, experience working as a stewardess on a yacht. Willingness and ability to work overseas for several months at a time, cheerful, flexible and calm disposition.  Pro-active organise and good eye for detail. Basic cooking skills.  Working as part of a lovely friendly team.

Can be live out or live in sharing a two bedroom flat with a lovely dog sitter/walker in her twenties.

Must have legal documents to work in the UK and good references.

Housekeeper

This really is a girl Friday job, temporary from Dec 20th until March, based in Cloisters.

 

The couple have a property there and reside there from Dec to March, they require someone to work for three hours in the morning, doing some light cleaning and then again for three hours late afternoon, early evening to cook a basic supper.

 

Would be good for someone who maybe is having a gap year and enjoying ski-ing, the successful candidate would be provided with a studio flat in the village.

Couple, Housekeeper/Cook – Gardener

A couple required to work in Gloucestershire, seven miles from Cirencester.

 

A cook/housekeeper and gardener, to work for a couple who mainly reside in this eight bedroom medieval house.  The housekeeper would be required to maintain the house to a high standard, all laundry is done inhouse, and cooking nice healthy meals.

Working hours are eight hours a day, five day week, with two days off during the week when the principals go to London.

The garden is not formal and comprises of lawns and trees, general maintenance and keeping it looking neat and tidy.

Accommodation for the candidates comprises of a two bedroom cottage, with sitting room and bathroom and kitchen.

Daily Housekeeper/Nanny, Notting Hill, London

A daily housekeeper required for a family of four, one two year old and a new born.

To start in December. This job is seventy per cent housekeeping and thirty per cent nanny, Mother works from home and has just had a new baby, a maternity nurse is employed and a part time nanny also.

Five day week Monday to Friday, but the principal would like the candidate to be flexible and help on a Saturday when her husband is away.

A little boy of two years old currently goes to nursery, so there would be some assistance with him, general cleaning of the house, washing and ironing, and general cleaning of the house.

 

Hours are from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Nanny/Housekeeper live in

Nanny/Housekeeper required to live in for a family of six in Notting Hill Gate London.

One eight year old girl, twin girls of six and a boy of 2 years old.  The elder children all attend full time school, the youngest will be attending nursery in six months time in the morning.

The family are currently residing in a large flat in Notting Hill, but will be moving to a new house in March.

The current Nanny/hk has been with the family for many years.  Currently the day starts at 7 a.m. helping the children get ready for school and preparing breakfast.  The mother currently takes the elder to school, the candidate would be required to take the twins to school which is within walking distance.  The day consists of taking care of the young boy, entertaining him and taking him to various activities.

General nannying duties required, children’s laundry and keeping their rooms clean and tidy, picking the twins up from school and preparing their supper, supervising bath time and putting to bed.

 

There currently is another daily housekeeper who works three days a week, when the family move in March this will change to a full time live out.

The accommodation comprises of bedroom, ensuite, in the new house it will be a separate studio flat.

The family would like someone to be able to travel with them on holidays.  To start early December 2016.
