About Us

INHOUSE was set up in 2000 by director, Mary Dobson, who has been working in the industry since 1994.

We offer a discreet, bespoke service for discerning employers within private households and prestigious private establishments. We specialise in the very highest calibre of domestic staff on a full time, part time or on a temporary basis both in the UK and Internationally.

We can assist with all staffing needs, however large or small. We have successfully supplied candidates to professional city-dwelling families, working country estates, stately homes, holiday villas and ocean going yachts.

How We Work

We offer a quality service to both clients and staff and will not waste your time by sending unsuitable applicants nor waste the applicant’s time by sending them for unsuitable posts.

After establishing your requirements we provide you with a selection of suitable candidates from our extensive database. For each candidate we endeavor to produce résumé outlining a candidate’s details and include a photograph. Once you have chosen the right candidates we will arrange the interviews on your behalf.


All our applicants have gone through our rigorous process of personal interview, reference and previous employment history verification. They must have at least two years experience and / or relevant professional qualifications. We ensure that all applicants have legal rights to work in the UK.

All written references are personally verbally endorsed before any candidate would be considered for any suitable vacancy.

Mother’s Help, St Johns Wood, London

A Mothers Help is required for a mother and five year old child based in St Johns Wood, London.

To start at 7.30 in the morning, helping the child get ready for school, duties include general cleaning of the house which is a three storey property.  A five to six hour day, some cooking may be required, which would be healthy basic meals.

The applicant would be free to study or  find extra work, it is a five day week.

To start asap.

£300 net per week

Chef – Holland Park, London

A chef is required to work for a family in Holland Park, also may involve some travel.

The family of three require a chef who can prepare and cook healthy nutritious meals, they like organic fare, fish and white meat. Fresh juices etc.,

The candidate would also be asked to prepare food for the other staff of three

They have a base in Holland Park but the candidate would be asked to travel with them on occasion to France and America.

Live out position to start June 14th.


House Manager – Holland Park, London with travel

A highly experienced House Manager is required to manage a 10,000 sq ft house in Holland Park, London with basement pool and sometimes may be asked to assist in other properties possibly in France and the US  if required.

Need to be knowledgeable on Smart house systems and have a go doer attitude.

Five day week but must be flexible re weekends and days off.

Could be long days when family are in residence but when they are away then time will be given in lieu.

Manage three staff and keep harmonious atmosphere in the house.

Statutory holiday of twenty eight days per year.

Cooking is a plus as is French speaking.

Knowledge of London is necessary, i.e. restaurants, trades, services and so forth.

Hands on to assist in any manner of duties to ensure the home is run smoothly.

To start 14th June, this is a live out position.



A part time housekeeper is required for a family based in Holland Park.

A delightful family, both parents work, they have three children and a full time nanny employed.

The candidate would be required to carry out all household duties four hours a day on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

In addition on a Monday and Friday, you would be required to pick up the nine year old girl from school (nanny will be taking care of the two younger siblings) – (uber would be arranged) and take her to her tennis training, wait for her to finish then drop her off at home (again uber arranged).  So on those days it would be 7 hours.  The current lady starts at 11a.m. and then leaves at 3 to pick up from the school.

If the applicant would like to work extra hours there is the opportunity to work a few hours at the weekend.

Nanny live out Holland Park London

A nanny is required for family of three based in Holland Park, London.

Three day week, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, 7.30 to 7pm.  To take charge of a delightful fifteen month old baby boy.

Mother is preparing slowly to return to work.  The candidate would be in sole charge of the baby, preparing and feeding, taking him for walks, entertaining, reading stories, bathing him and getting him ready for bed.

This could eventually go to a full time role.

Housekeeper – Live in Notting Hill with separate accommodation

A housekeeper (with some nanny duties) is required to work for a family of five based in the heart of Notting Hill Gate, London.

There are three children, twin girls who are currently in full time school and a two year old who will be attending nursery in the mornings from September.

The family employ a nanny and a full time daily housekeeper.  You would be required to work as part of the team, carrying out general housekeeping duties, including washing and ironing, maintaining the cleanliness of the house to a high standard.

This is a five day week, eight hours a day, the accommodation comprises of a studio flat situated close by to the main family home.

£500 per week
